New Principal Named: Kelly Lawler

Thanks to a panel of Crestwood Stakeholders, Kelly Lawler has been named the new principal for Crestwood Elementary in Madison Metropolitan School District.

Kelly Lawler is an instructional leader who believes in putting MMSD scholars at the center of all decisions. Kelly comes to Crestwood after being a Principal and Assistant Principal at Chávez Elementary since the fall of 2014. Prior to that, Kelly was an interventionist and literacy coach in Madison and taught elementary grades in the Denver metro area in Colorado. Kelly is bilingual in English and Spanish and will work to proactively build trust and community among Crestwood stakeholders.

Kelly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and her Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Colorado at Denver. Finally, Kelly is a MMSD alumni who attended Crestwood!
